Henry Berliner
1895–1970 · Helicopter pioneer; founder of the Berliner Aircraft Company
Henry Berliner led the practical development of the family's helicopters, testing them at College Park. On June 16, 1922 he demonstrated a helicopter that rose and hovered before military observers. The surviving Berliner Helicopter No. 5 (1923) is displayed at the College Park Aviation Museum.
