Joseline A. Peña-Melnyk

A College Park resident, Peña-Melnyk was elected to the College Park City Council in 2003 before winning a seat in the Maryland House of Delegates in 2007. In 2025 she became Speaker of the House, the first Afro-Latina to lead the chamber.
